Guild Wars 3 Fall 2027 Beta Tracker
Known window, known platforms, known signup path — and a long list of blanks ArenaNet has not filled.
This tracker is a status board, not a live operations dashboard. Guild Wars 3’s first beta is scheduled for Fall 2027. That sentence has not changed since the 5 June 2026 announcement. Everything else people ask in Discord — which week, which wave, which NDA, how many keys — is still unmarked. We will not invent counters, progress bars, or “wave 2 remaining keys” widgets. Those toys get cloned by phishing pages.

What is known
Window: Fall 2027. ArenaNet has not named September, October, or November. “Fall” follows the North American reading used in the trailer end card and Steam news.
Platforms: PC and PlayStation 5. Steam app 4743930 is the PC storefront to watch. PlayStation Store concept 10019646 is the console storefront to watch. The studio has said the game is being designed with controller in mind; Gamescom’s hands-off alpha was played on a pad. That does not confirm every beta wave will include both platforms on day one. It does confirm both are in scope.
Signup: the newsletter on guildwars3.com is the official chance to be included. Steam wishlist and PlayStation wishlist are alert tools, not applications. Discord membership is not an application. The wishlist checklist is the click order we recommend so you do not complete only half of that set.
Business rules that will apply to the live game, and likely to tests unless stated otherwise: buy-to-play, no subscription, no battle pass, no pay-to-win. Those come from the philosophy essay. Beta client pricing has not been announced. Do not assume the test is free, paid, or account-bound to Guild Wars 2.
Content already shown to press, which testers should expect to see in some form if the alpha slice survives: Warrior, Necromancer, Ranger, momentum combat, more defined roles, and large fights aimed at about twenty players. Gamescom 2026 is the source. None of that is a guarantee that the first wave includes all three professions.
What is unknown
Wave dates. Number of waves. Duration of each wave. Character wipe policy. Whether progress carries to launch. NDA: whether testers can stream, post screenshots, or only fill surveys. Region lock. Platform mix per wave. Hardware check beyond the published Steam minimums. Voice chat. Cross-play in the test. Cross-progression with a future Guild Wars 2 Hall of Monuments reward. Age rating of the beta client. How support will handle lost keys. Whether a Guild Wars 2 account helps or does nothing.
If a creator posts a screenshot of a “beta portal” with a queue number, treat it as unverified until guildwars3.com, Steam news, or @PlayGuildWars3 repeats it. This tracker will gain a dated row when that happens. Until then the honest status is “Fall 2027, signup via newsletter, details TBA.”
How to sign up without feeding scams
Go to the official site, find the newsletter field, use an email you check, and confirm the opt-in. Then wishlist both stores. Then wait. You do not need to enter ten Discord servers, download a “beta launcher” from a file host, or paste your Steam login into a Google Form. ArenaNet support is support@arena.net; anyone else offering key recovery is not ArenaNet.
Hardware: compare your PC to the system requirements now so a 65 GB download in 2027 is not the first time you notice an 8 GB RAM stick. PlayStation 5 players should confirm the console is updated and that DualSense is the pad they actually like, because that is the advertised control method.
